One Encounter With The King

One encounter with the King of kings will forever change everything. When Jesus, the King of Glory is sitting upon the throne of your life, His presence saturates the atmosphere of your entire being. Feasting on His words of life is truly our daily bread – fresh from His heart to yours today. Pure-hearted worship of Him in spirit and truth will put you in His arms of embrace. Experiencing the thick presence of the Lord and His glory as a lifestyle brings great transformation in one’s life, influencing them to become more Christ-like, yet there are really very few who choose to live this kind of life. (Jn 6:63, Jn 4:23, 24)

We all deal with or have various legitimate needs such as health issues, family issues, relationship restorations, abuses, financial situations, church splits, court cases, marketplace endeavors collapsing, and so forth…all normal challenges of life. What is our focus? Is it ourselves, the mountain of adversity that may surround us, or is our primary focus truly like the Word declares, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus”? (Heb 12:2, 3 NIV)

When one becomes desperate for Him and will abandon themselves unto Jesus Christ, they will enter a new realm and place in God that they have never been before. We are not speaking about one’s ministry performance or works of labor, but rather something more precious to the heart of the Father called true worship, intimacy, waiting quietly and being still in His presence to know Him. (Ps 46:10)

Many have lost their passionate first love for Jesus and wrapped themselves up in doing good works instead (Rev 2:1-7). Whatever you have need of in healing, deliverance, wisdom, grace, peace, joy, or revelation, know that everything flows out of His presence! Our heavenly Father delights in us when we look to Him as our source for everything. Yet, what He loves even more is when we come to Him just to BE with Him – no list of prayer requests or other agendas.

The more you fall in love with Him and “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Col 3:2 KJV), you become aware that time with Him is the number one priority of life. The Holy Spirit will honor your time with Him and the effort you put forth. He knows what your schedule is and what your daily responsibilities are.

Come boldly to His throne of grace and let His mercy overwhelm you. Behold His beauty, soak in His presence and glory, marinate in His love, and the Holy Spirit will take you higher into realms that you have been destined to see and operate in. Our awesome God is releasing divine encounters from heaven to those on this earth that will position themselves to move in His glory for the sake of the harvest. (Heb 4:16, Ps 27:4, Ps 105:4, Ez 1:1-28, 1Cor 2:9,10)

What is YOUR priority? Why do you want to spend time with Him? Is it for the purpose of feeling the “goose bumps”? Or is it so that you can become more like Him and have His glory be seen upon you; becoming a light in places of darkness? Feelings are good, but if that is the only reason we go to Him, then we are pretty self-centered and in need of even more cleansing…to be found in His presence where He faithfully re-focuses our priorities.

Remember, it is not about us. It is all about HIM!!
